Tracking conversion rates is important for fundraisers as it gives you a yardstick to measure against. In DonateNow, you can implement different URLs to place in specific link locations so that you can track how donors are getting to your page. For instance, you might want a different tracking code associated with traffic from your website than that associated with traffic generated by emails or social media posts.
First, log in to Network For Good, and click 'access your DonateNow page.' Then, click 'view all DonateNow pages,' and click 'promote your page' on the page for which you wish to track traffic.
On the next page, scroll down to the section 'DonateNow Buttons and Tracking Codes.' If you want to use an NFG button, go ahead. To create a unique URL for tracking purposes, enter a Tracking Code and then a Tracking Code Description. The Tracking Code is what will appear in donation reports to signify how a particular donor got to your donation page. The Description is purely to remind you, if necessary, details regarding that Tracking Code.
After clicking 'Save Tracking Code,' you can scroll down and you'll have a URL you can copy/paste, and if you so chose when creating the tracking code, HTML code for a button that you can embed on web pages and in emails and social media posts.
