DonateNow pages are for collecting donations and typically, users use one page as their catch-all, year-round page, branded for their organization and always attached to their “Donate” button on their website’s homepage. Additional DonateNow pages can be used for different one-off campaign or special fundraising efforts at different times of the year, depending on what your organization’s specific needs are.
The processing fee for DonateNow is 3% and is a donor option during checkout (they can choose to cover the fee for you each time they donate and typically- they do!). Depending on your DonateNow package, you have access to certain numbers of Active pages at a time. Pages beyond the amount allotted in your subscription are subject to an additional $10 per page per month.
EventsNow (Which was shut down on 3/1/19)
The second campaign type is EventsNow. EventsNow is a service we offer to all of our DonateNow customers for free. You can open an unlimited number of event & ticketing pages on this platform and we partner with the GiveZooks team to bring you these pages. The processing fee for EventsNow is 5.5% + $0.99/ticket item. These fees are not optional for the donor during checkout. They are set per ticket level by your team when you set up the page. You can set the tickets up either way per ticket; one ticket can have your organization cover the fee, and another ticket can make the donor cover the fee.
For instance, say you’re selling tickets to a play. When you’re creating the theoretical $10 admission ticket, you can pick to “pass fees onto ticket buyer” for this $10 level, so that everyone who picks this ticket will end up paying $10 + 5.5% + $0.99, but perhaps you also create a ticket where the purchaser can buy ad space in the program, and this ticket costs $100. For the $100 ticket, because the fee would be so much higher, you can choose to absorb the fee for that ticket level when you create the ticket.
