Note: To use the DonateNow Lite service, your organization must be listed on GuideStar (www.guidestar.org). In order for an organization to be listed on GuideStar, it must have received 501(c)3 status from the IRS as a sole nonprofit entity. Unfortunately, we are unable to list programs, groups, or departments that are not recognized by the IRS as 501(c)3 exempt organizations in their own right. If you would like to receive donations via a Fiscal Sponsor, please use our Everyday Giving service.
If you have not yet registered for you DonateNow Lite account, instructions for that process may be found here.
STEP ONE: Create Your Link
To create your organization's DonateNow Lite URL, simply add your organization's EIN (Employer Identification Number) to the end of the following URL. Remember to test the link before you add it to your website.
-Add Your EIN:
Please note that the DonateNow URL should be linked to directly and not inserted into a frameset. Now you can add this link with a button to your website.
STEP TWO: Choose an Image
To use one of the images below, you will need to right-click on the image to save it to your computer and place it on your website (you may need help from your webmaster) where you would like the DonateNow button to appear.
Apply for Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
You can also have your donations deposited directly to your organization’s bank account by applying for Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). If you are not registered for EFT, check payments for your donations will be mailed to the address listed on your GuideStar Nonprofit Report.
Payments are sent to your organization on the 15th of each month and will include all donations processed in the previous month.
Once you've logged in, click on the Apply for Direct Deposit link under Account Info and follow the instructions listed there.
IMPORTANT LAST STEP: After you've submitted your application electronically by either method, you will need to print it out, sign it, and send it to our office along with a voided check. We do require an original check.
Please mail your signed EFT application and voided check to:
Network for Good - EFT Dept.
1140 Connecticut Avenue NW, Suite 700
Washington, DC 20036
Please Note: We understand that some organizations are unable to submit an actual voided check. If you would still like to apply for EFT, any ONE of these alternate forms of documentation are also acceptable:
- A letter from your bank confirming that your organization holds an account there. The letter, which must be on the bank’s letterhead and signed by a representative of the bank, must reference your organization’s name, EIN (tax ID) number, account number, and the routing number for direct deposit purposes.
- An original deposit slip (not scanned) that has your organization’s name and address pre-printed on it.
Of course, you will continue to receive checks in the mail until you're approved to receive disbursements via EFT.
Update Your GuideStar Nonprofit Report

The Advantages of Everyday Giving over DonateNow Lite
DonateNow Lite is a no-subscription service that we make available to any 501(c)3 public charity. It has a 5% transaction fee that applies to each individual donation. For those that want more control over the appearance of their donation page(s), Everyday Giving is a low-cost, easy-to-use alternative that a nonprofit can scale as they grow, later adding more fundraising tools and abilities to grow their base of support. See our main website for details.
